Wow, talk about THE Ramos cover to get - and this is it. I was blown away by Ramos when I saw this in print - and you have an amazing piece to add to your collection. Congratulations.
Ramos was a bold choice at the time, but definitely the right one because of the hectic release schedule and leading to more interesting guest artist issues. Numerous talents followed in similar artistic themes and fit in with the look. Ramos made this a milestone issue with a take on the ASM #100 cover.

Wow, I honestly had no idea that you had such a large Ramos Spidey collection. I guess it only makes sense that you should have his very first ASM cover too. Looks like this piece has found the perfect home. Congrats and enjoy!
Wonderful cover - also used as the cover for the 2011 Premiere Edition Hardcover reprinting ASM 648-651.

Love the compostion with all the character faces in the background. The overall image is very strong and un-amibiguous which is sometimes a difficulty I have with his work. Congrats on an Amazing (spectacular?) Pick up!!

Any time you can acquire a cover by an artist whose work you love and from a long run the artist is associated with, it's a pretty big deal. But being able to acquire the very 1st example by that artist on that run is infinately more special!

Hahaha, yeah I can't blame you at all, especially since I'll sometimes get a Ramos cover back into my collection after a period of not owning it. This is THE perfect example of Ramos Spidey and so befitting to be in your collection Paul - heary congratulations! The original art is far more impressive than the published cover (which is no small feat as the cover is gorgeous).

Man, this is epic. In terms of the piece itself and its importance. I had followed Ramos's work on Peter Parker: Spectacular Spider-Man (the Goblin arc blew me away) but this is the image that marks the moment Ramos went next leve, starting his memorable run on ASM! BIG TIME, indeed, Paul. Wow. HUGE sincere congrats, bud!
