Description

Sergio Aragones has been drawing little cartoons to appear in the margins of MAD Magazine since issue 76 back in 1963. As the story goes, the magazine had previously included little text jokes in the margins, but they were difficult for the writers to come up with every issue. It was Sergio's idea to use his little cartoons instead, which he called "Marginals".

These particular marginals were used partially in issue 373 (the top 3 cartoons appear in the issue).

I loved MAD as a kid, and really enjoyed the little 'easter egg' cartoons scattered through the issues. Sergio is the king of the wordless 1-panel gag!

Purchased and signed in person from Sergio.
