Ekhö, Le Monde Miroir - Fourmille

Alessandro Barbucci is well known for his works in the Franco-Belgian market, from the creator-owned Skydoll to Ekhö, le monde miroir. But I've been following his works since earlier because he was one of the youngest artists to see his work published in the Italian Disney publications (1993 on Paperino and 1994 on Topolino) and also was a teacher at the Italian Disney Academy (1996-98).
And I loved (still do) his works with the Disney classic anthropomorphic characters.

When the chance of a commission opened, it was a no-brainer trying to somehow combine the Present with the Past, so here's a beautiful watercolor piece of Fourmille from Ekhö hugging a Scrooge McDuck puppet.

What's Ekhö?
It's a mirror world of the Earth. You can see our cities, our countries, but they're a little bit different.
No electrical power, dragons replacing airplanes, giant millipedes that run the subway wagons.
Strange little creatures, apparently harmless, the Preshaun, seem to be running the world.
Fourmille and Yuri Podrov find themselves in this world where Fourmille seems to have a particular skill... she can be possessed by ghosts.
