DescriptionHere's the latest of my occasional "Bronze Age Covers That Should Have Been" commissions, drawn by British artist Ian Richardson - if Marvel had decided that, in the wake of the success of Star Wars, they really needed a science-fictional-rebels-against-an-evil-empire series which they owned, rather than just licencing, and gave Dave Cockrum's Starjammers a regular book.In this premiere issue - on the run from the Shi'ar, the Starjammers stray across the border into the space of the neighbouring stellar empire, and find themselves at the mercy of the Badoon's Brother Royal! Based, as I'm sure I don't need to tell very many of you, on the Cockrum cover to Micronauts #1 - albeit adapted to feature a 'four heads' corner box taken from a Bronze Age issue of The Defenders.
