Description

The '90s were rife with Venom miniseries, and here's a fun cover from 1997 where Venom is now a government agent with a license to kill.

However, it isn't lost on the government that Venom does NOT play well with others, so after knocking him out, they plant a thermite bomb in his chest. He is told that if he strays from his next mission, they will activate the bomb and it will incinerate him and his symbiotic other. Sheesh, talk about 'horrible bosses.'

There is also (appropriately) an evil Russian doctor named 'Doctor Yes' who is threatening to unleash nasty biological weapons upon the world.

(I'm gonna have to read the issue again and see if, at any time, Eddie Brock sidles up to a bar dressed in an Angelo Vitucci tuxedo and orders a medium dry martini, shaken not stirred.)

Very cool Venom cover! Outstanding details on the pencils and inks give the image great depth. The published/colored image really has a 3D feel. Congrats!

Venom covers with this basic layout have been done often, but this is one of the earlier, if the the earliest ones. Very cool!
