Description

An absolutely fantastic double page splash by the legendary Steven Hughes. This action packed piece was only published twice: once as bonus material in the Evil Ernie Special Limited Edition #1 by Adventure Comics and then reprinted with sketch material in the Evil Ernie Youth Gone Wild #1 Director's Cut.

I love these early Hughes pieces, before he fully refined her look his Lady Death had a wild frenetic energy and she's at her most badass here battling against Mary Young. The pasted on word balloons harken back to the long lost days of hand produced comic books.
