DescriptionLove everything about this: the classic, savage Hulk portrait, the torn shirt, the rope waist belt, down to the cracked fingernails Ron added. I'm thinking about keeping it as is, but may get it inked somewhere down the line. But for now, I'm enjoying the beautiful, crisp pencils.Social/Sharing |

Beautiful piece, and Ron's feathering here looks tailor made for for an ink job by Sinnott!

I'll bet that Ron loved getting this commission request. I love the homage and the ripped shirt and rope belt are great additions. Congrats on another winner in your outstanding themed gallery!

Awesome addition to your SB homage collection - had to get one from one of the best artists to ever do it. What stands out to me are the meticulous pencils and where Sal uses a thinner vs. thicker line. Great stuff. Congrats!

First thing; "DON'T HAVE THIS INKED"! These pure pencils are killer. I'm familiar with this take on
the classic Sal Buscema image. But gotta say, I love how Ron updated it, making it his own. My brother
had originally taught me the majesty of pure penciled art. And this piece is so tight & perfect, to have
it inked would be like painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa. I'm very impressed with this one.
p.s. If you want this inked, then simply make a copy, of the original, and have that inked. This way
the original would remain untainted, and you'd still get both versions.

Thanks for the kind words Daniel. Yes, I used to not be a fan of pencils and inks on separate boards but I'm slowly coming around. If I were to get this inked somewhere down the line, it would definitely be on bluelines to preserve these pencils. With that said, like you, I also am a big fan of purely penciled art!
