Description

Brian Vander far exceeded my expectations for this stunning piece. Not only did he hit every beat in my request for the X-Men’s resident Russian powerhouse by featuring Piotr claiming the throne with his sister’s Soul Sword, but he also harkened back to one of my favorite X-Men eras by basing his piece on Marc Silvestri’s chilling depiction of Mr. Sinister from Uncanny X-Men #239!

Has a real Paul Smith feel to it. Love the Conan-sitting-on-the-throne-with-the-giant-sword take.

Great idea to use the Sinister pose - I always wondered why they looked so similar :) Seriously though, love the ties holding the throne together and that the Soulsword was included! Sweet image all around. Congrats!
