DescriptionOkay, after yesterday's page featuring the big argument between Dick and Kory regarding whether Dick should've known the "imposter" he had sex with wasn't Kory, the argument ends here on this following page, with an absolutely exquisite shot of Kory flying off in anger, while Dick tries chasing after her and gets into an altercation with the paparazzi. But forget Dick and the paparazzi. This is what's known in this hobby as a one panel page, which for the newer collectors among you, refers to a page with mostly low content quality, but with a single panel that has a great image of a popular character. Here we have Kory in a gorgeous outfit even though it's not a costume, in a fantastically heroic pose that Grummett and Vey have exquisitely illustrated! Va-va-voom! Me mind on fire Me soul on fire, feeling hot, hot, hot Party people All around me feeling hot, hot, hot Social/Sharing |

Another great one. The top panel is fantastic.
That being said, I find Dick looks wrong in the sequence. Too old...wrong 90s aircut...What do you think?

Yes, I agree. The haircut, sadly was the fashion in the early 90's so there's nothing we can really put "blame" on. Unfortunately for all fans, it was around this time also, that most pencillers and especially inkers, were being told by editors to "Do it like the Image guys do it!", and although Vey's inks are still recognizable as his own, you can see that he was struggling between wanting to do it his way, but also needing to to add some of the Image inking techniques.

Yeah that top panel is money. And what fun to have sequential pages, especially when it covers an entire emotional conversation involving the gorgeous Starfire and ends with one of those obnoxious paparazzi being bopped. (Haha, autocorrect changed the word "paparazzi" to "parasite." How apropos).

Starfire sure knows how to make an exit. Dick Grayson lady trouble pages are fun, and this is a neat one. Congrats!

Didn't follow this book but I really that Starfire up top! Great pose, love her expression, and I've always liked how her hair transitions into her flight trail. Nice piece, bud - congrats!
