Description

This item is the blank variant sketch cover edition of DC's Detective Comics # 44 (2015) depicting Batman up against a wall with a spotlight on him as drawn and inked by artist Scott McDaniel. Scott had a notable run as artist of the Batman v1 series in 2000-2002. He signed and donated it to the non-profit Inkwell Awards by mail (in lieu of canceled conventions due to the pandemic health precautions) for fundraising to support their annual Dave Simons Inkwell Memorial Scholarship Fund to a second year student in need at the Kubert School.
