DescriptionI thought I'd end my McGuinness Week as I started it --- with a page from the Red Hulk run. This one features the Composite Hulk (Red and Green Hulks combined into one). Check out my pic of the colorized page for the full effect of the merged bodies. This is one of my favorite issues, where Xemnu comes to our earth via a dimensional portal for a rematch with the Hulk (green/Banner version). He first encounters (and bests) the Red Hulk, but the Green Hulk leaps in moments later, actually landing on Xemnu, who is unhurt and happy that his old foe has returned. Xemnu then calls forth a swarm of alien monsters, which quickly outpower the two Hulks. The Impossible Man, who is there to record the battle, decides to help the Hulks by merging them into one. And that's when the fun really begins, as the new composite Hulk bumbles around, trying to work out the mechanics of sharing a body. On this page I have posted, the two Hulks finally find a way to coordinate their efforts to start kicking some alien butt. There are some great images of the Impossible Man as well, which is what ultimately sold me on the page. In the last panel, Xemnu prepares to call forth his greatest weapon -- a Hulk of his own created from some Green Hulk DNA that he stole the last time they met. Thanks for enjoying these McGuinness pages with me this week! Social/Sharing |

Ahhh, it's nice to see you pull out sequential art once in a while! This is a fun looking page, too, with 2 classic 3rd tier characters in The Impossible Man and Xemnu the Titan! McGuinness' art style being on the cartoony spectrum, is perfect for bringing out the fun in issues with these types of characters, too. Great week of art, man!

I love Ed's Hulk and the art in this run was legendary. Congrats on another winner in your exponentially growing collection Paul!
