Description

This is a daily strip from 5 May 1969. This daily shows Duane dealing with her lover's reconciliation with his wife... and it isn't going well as Mary tries to convince her it is all for the best. Three well-executed panels of Mary and Duane with amazing details that Starr and his studio did so well... city scenes and interactions with characters. Typical Starr detail and composition.

The strip chronicles the life of aspiring Broadway actress, Mary Perkins, and what her husband, photographer Pete Fletcher, will quickly become. Starr, who started the strip already as an expert cartoonist and above all with great experience in the field of illustration, draws the stories with a clean and perfectionist style. The comic best embodies the realistic rendering typical of the 1950s comic soap opera, populated by elegant pipe smokers and aspiring Grace Kelly in their little dresses. But Starr wasn't just a great draftsman; for the duration of the series he also proved to be a convincing narrator, and it was the quality of the comic's writing that decreed its success.

You have a great example, Leonard Starr drew many beautiful and pretty girls with their own look.
