Description

B.C. he is a naive caveman who loves to relax with friends, discover the wheel and watch the fire. The strip was originally very simple with minimal backgrounds and huge boulders labeled "patents" or "cash" that served to give context to the gag. As time passed, the modern world and Hart's political and religious beliefs began to seep into the strip. Hart was inspired by friends and colleagues for his cavemen and his wide range of anthropomorphic animals. Wiley, the first bartender in history, relied on his brother-in-law. Carp, the myopic ichthyologist, was inspired by his childhood friend Caprio.
