Description

The preliminary drawing for the first edition of A Game of Thrones, by Jim Burns. An amazing find which just popped up on eBay 26 years after it was drawn. A once in a lifetime bit of luck!

The first drawing of Daenerys and Khal Drogo in the whole World! Almost certainly the first Game of Thrones art in the whole World.

It was actually published in 1999 in Fantasy Art Masters by Dick Jude. However, only part of the image was visible. I didn�t know Jim draw the wood as well. Nice to reunite the prelim with the final version.
