Sketch by SEAN GORDON MURPHY made in October 2010 at AmadoraBD, Amadora’s comics festival, Portugal.
A4 size (8.3in x 11.7in)

Yeah, I know, I’m a lucky bastard for having such a great sketch with Sean’s classic style. I have a friend who is a major Murphy fan. When I was scanning these sketches, I sent him the scan and he was so jealous ahah
My friend also went to the festival on the same days I went but back then he didn’t pay much attention to Sean and didn’t went to the signings sessions. For me, Sean was one of main attractions for the festival even if, back then, I didn't knew much about him. Off Road was being published on the festival (translated version), I had Joe The Barbarian #1 which I bought because of Grant Morrison but didn’t bought the following issues because I was still studying and didn’t have much money.
At the festival there was an exhibition with originals by him, mostly Hellblazer (I believe he was working on City of Demons back then) and I think I remember something Batman related. I found out I had a Shaun of the Dead #1 which I read somewhere that was inked by him but couldn’t find his name on the comic. Nevertheless, I brought it with me, explained to him I saw on the internet he worked on the title but his name wasn’t on it so I wasn’t sure if I should give it to him to sign. He signed it anyway.
He was very professional, signing and making sketches for everyone but not talking much. Just signing and doing sketches for everyone. Because of the Hellblazer originals I asked him to draw John Constantine which you can see here.
