DescriptionThere's been a lot of Byrne West Coast Avengers pages showing up since WandaVision came out, but this one particularly appealed to me. First of all, it's got three large panels, including that disturbing one where one of Wanda's kids is trying to eat Wonder Man's head (is that Billy or Tommy?). Plus there's pretty much no text apart from one small caption (narration from Agatha Harkness), which makes for a very dramatic looking page. This was the key issue where it was revealed that Wanda and Vision's kids weren't real and they end up getting re-absorbed back into Mephisto at the end. I admit I found this storyline fairly upsetting at the time, but not so much now that they found a way to bring the kids back. As usual, John Byrne signed right in the middle of the page, but thankfully in a nice blank area that doesn't detract from the art. I also like Mike Machlan's inking here, which I think suits Byrne's style well. Due to scanner limitations, the top of the scan got cut off, but it's on standard Marvel board. Social/Sharing |

Very nice and pivotal piece in the lore. Even though the theories didn't come true in the MCU, Make Mine Mephisto!

Always thought that last panel was super creepy/gross. Great page.

Definitely a beauty, love the design and intensity in each panel, big crazy moments that lead to tremendous tragedy. Congrats on this great page!

Honestly the prices being asked for those other pages don't make any sense. But this page is freaking awesome and the best of the lot.

Agreed thanks. I'm not sure why this page slipped under the radar, but it was such a good deal I couldn't resist. I guess there were too many auctions going on at the same time.
