Stunning monster. Never heard of this artist. Interesting.
A symphony of monster mayhem! Harren is a conductor of imaginative energy on to the page.
Cheering kaiju, fear vomit and Straxx masterfully rendered. What is not to like here? Love this page. Congrats!!!
New nightmare: Being caught underneath a kaiju vomit spray. :Shudder: I dig Harren's style, and I'm loving the pages I'm seeing from this series. Heh, and I love the idea of a kaiju battle announcer. As for Burnt umber, it's just a shade of brown, no? Ultramega is now on The List. Kaiju-sized congrats!
Yes, of course, just a shade of brown, but I think I only know that from buying tubes of oil paint and water color sets --- not what I expect to trip off the tongue of a WWF announcer or color commentator, say, unless Dennis Miller is on the job perhaps.
Buildings crumble under its grip! Great piece.
lol i hate you.. i wanted this page SO BAD. Congrats! i'm glad to see it's in a good home!
Thanks for your comment, Keith! If it's any consolation, I'm still pining for the page I missed out on from the previous book in this outrageous series. The good news is that every page is so strong that whatever one can get is a winner. Hope some future issues get broken up...
lol me too! i've had such horrible luck in the Ultramega drops! At least I was able to get a contingency page from #3. I would enjoy getting some vindication in a future drop, if one is made available. This page sir, is AMAZING! Congrats again!
Fantastic sequence of panels. It almost feels like watching something animated. Wonderful work from Harren!
Congrats! I loved issue 3 and this is an excellent page from it! Harren is killing it on this series!
Epic page - congrats!!
Luv the Strong and Powerful Imagery. . . Especially the Mid-Panel Foreshortening!!!
I would run away as fast as I could too, if I had to face that monster. Harren perfectly captures the fear of the gladiators as well joy of the crowd. Fantastic page! Congrats!
That before last panel is excellent
I think this is one of the better pages of Issue #3. It really has everything. I love the monsters at the top, and then the facial expression in the bottom panel. So so good.
I have no idea what I'm looking at. But pretty cool!! Congrats!
Amazing page and you are right, it has everything!
I'm just enjoying all the faces on this page...post projectile vomiting is a tough look to pull off, but it works so well here. love it.
fantastic page!
Everything is so great about this page! You got all the essential story elements, all the great Harren techniques on display, plus an incredible Harren Monster!
