If any living legend deserves praise for Detective Comics making it to 1000 issues, it's Neal Adams. His influential work on the title turned the page to pull Batman and DC to modern times. Although there were very few Neal Adams full issues, it marked the dawn of a new era after the Batman 66' show and the whole line quickly adapted to the new direction.
Any Neal Adams Batman is always going to be a winner, but this one really stands out! Huge congrats!
