Great Steve Dillon artwork. The top sequence is very atmospheric, and Dredd's chin is fabulous throughout. Nice page!

Very eye opening to see his work before my introduction to him in Preacher. It is more formal and traditional illustration that looks right in line with others at the time. You can see some of the storytelling ideas he had here that he took with him. The slow chase and stalking panels is what he used for timing. The lower 3 panels I've seen as a layout on his Gen13 annual.

Dillon was UK's answer to Liefeld or Madureira in that he started working for Marvel UK when he was barely 16 !!!!!!! So prolific, so fast, some great 2000ad runs, including one of my favorite Alan Moore's comedic output, Abelard Snazz, as good as D.R. & Quinch or the Bojeffries Saga. And then, some great Warrior magazine pages. And then, if that wasn't enough, he co-founded Deadline magazine. And only then did he start working for DC (SKREEMER, if I remember correctly). Passed away too young, but amazing wide-ranging, multi-faceted legacy.

Always a treat to see some classic Steve Dillon Dredd and this is a gem of a page - Prog 404, pg18 (1985).

Thank you so much for helping me to title this page correctly. Lost my entire 2000AD collection in a flood about 10 years ago. Feel a bit guilty posting these pages with such generic titles, your help is much appreciated.
Yur collection is gorgeous, so foccused. Looking at your gallery, I wish I had kept to one thing all these years, but my ADHD got the best of me ....

Damn that's a great page. Loved Steve's Dredd. I hope I can add a Dillon page from City of the Damned to my collection one day too.

Beautiful page featuring Dredd and Anderson from 'City of the Damed', when Dredd loses his eyes. Incredible page, congrats!
