DescriptionI feel this skateboard jam is truly a wonderful work of collective art...that I am displaying proudly in my office.I first presented my blank deck to David Mack, asking him to draw Elektra. I was expecting a small head sketch remarque, when he drew a half bust with a captivating profile shot of her. It came out so well, I thought about just stopping with this one sketch. Then, I got it signed by Frank Miller, since he created Elektra. Flash forward to the 2019 Emerald Comic con, where two of my fave artists attended (Alex Maleev and Mike Deodato). I was apprehensive, as I did not want to diminish the Elektra sketch, but I rolled the dice and asked Alex to draw Daredevil above Elektra...and...asked Mike to draw Bullseye below. As you can see, both their sketches came out wonderfully...making this skateboard deck a trinity of great art. Notably, each of these artists took less than 3 minutes to sketch out each character. Really amazing. I posted additional pics of the artists. Doesn't get much better than this....great art...great memories. Social/Sharing |

The Maleev is really good! His run on Daredevil made everyone take notice of the grim and gritty art!

This is SUPER cool, Jordan - what a great idea! Kudos that you didn't do a flizz and wipe out on your half-pike of an idea to add more characters to the board after that awesome David Mack Elektra (okay, that's all the skater's jargon I know... and I suspect I may have made up some of it). Emerald City 2019 was the second-to-last convention I was at before the world closed down, so my memories of it are even more rosy than usual. A great lineup of artists and a fantastic show. Congrats on taking away a couple WONDERFUL pieces of art from it!
