Description
The Frontier series at Marvel was Marvel's attempt to set up a mark similar to the successful Vertigo mark at DC. Immortalis was one of the lead series with a John Constantine type character. A great two page intro sequence with the lead character playing chess with Mephisto.

The framing motifs are grand and show this early match of wits will set up the moves to be taken as this series unfolds.
