Description
The Story of Inked Disney Publicity Drawings Pt.2

After m initial purches of four inked drawings at Collectors Book Store, I occassionally came across inked drawings offered by one of the San Fernando Valley animation art dealer. He came up with two inked drawings from Donald's Cousin Gus. The best one, showing the meeting of Donald and Gus, had been modified to have a different background on which the figures had been glued after they were trimmed down -- the same as the third inked Hockey Champ Drawing. I really didn't like the fact that the entire drawing wasn't on one piece of paper, but this was the inked version which corresponded to the drawing I already owned which was used in making the cel and background versin of the same scene. The other was on one sheet of paper and shows Gus dividing up a cake with an unhappy Donald receivibg the small piece. I later sold the second one to my friend.

The same dealer sold me the Sea Scouts inked drawing which I still own. But the best inked drawing that he sold me was the great one from Mother Goose Goes Hollywood, still one of my favorite inked drawings. I later bought another inked drawing from that cartoon, showing Edward G Robinson and Garbo on a see-saw. I later sold that drawing.
