DescriptionFrom "A Town Called Vladsburg!" the second story in issue 128 published by DC Comics in 2008. I picked up the final two pages of the eight page story as an impulse buy to break the ice for Anthony on an episode of Dueling Dealers.Story by Paul Kupperberg where it seems the whole town is in on it to bring tourists back! Anthony has sold around three quarters of a million dollars worth of art just on the Dueling Dealers show alone this year, so....Friendly Tip: Don't "feel bad" just because he goes several minutes without making a sale. 😉

I certainly don't fret any of the dealers having a slow night, happens to even the best at times. But, I had an idea tied to my wife being the board director of a K9 rescue non-profit while watching. I thus had multiple motives and the price was right. So, someday soonish she and I will come up with a plan to auction these with the proceeds to benefit that organization. Everyone's a winner!

This piece has Count Chocula on it. One year at SDCC preview night, we went shopping for supplies at Ralph's. A certain art dealer saw chocolate cereal on sale and thought it would be a good idea to get that and chocolate milk for breakfast the next day. This person's diet was alcohol with every meal for months and months. The next day when the con opened regular hours, the dealer did not show up at the start. You can imagine where he was and why. We set up and opened up the show for him. However, since these dealers don't put prices on anything on the wall, we had to call him constantly to get prices while he was working through his "issues". He did not show up until noon.

In the eternal battle between Count Chocula and Jack Daniels, it sounds like this round went to the Count.

So I don't know about everyone else's SDCC experiences. But showing up still drunk or sick the next morning was still required at our booth. And you just had to deal with the restroom outside the Hall G door with the overflowing stall next to the urinal where The Flash had to remove his entire one piece to his ankles to take care of business. Just saying.
