Description
Published 2004
Tesla Strong sets up a sensor on the moon.
Tom, Tesla, Svetlana and Val are on the moon trying to find Svetlana's missing husband Dimitri.
Tom Strong was created by Alan Moore and Chris Sprouse as part of the line up of America's Best Comics published under WildStorm Comics.
The entire almost never happened after WildStorm was sold to DC.
Alan Moore had vowed never to work for DC again after disputes over his ownership of the Watchmen and the V for Vendetta series.
However, he decided that in the interests of the creators he had enlisted to work for the line that he would follow through with the publications.

This came out during the time after I quit reading and collecting comics and aside from The Authority, I never went back and tried any of this 90's Wildstorm material, not even the Alan Moore stuff. So I therefore have no familiarity with the characters, but I do appreciate Sprouse's simple, clean style and also enjoy images of moon landings. The stark, blackness of space contrasts beautifully with the bright white of the moon.

Tom Strong was a homage to the pulp heroes like Doc Savage and had a classic SciFi feel which I loved.
