DescriptionThis was a fun piece I had done recently. I purchased a completed pencil and inked piece. For the image of Captain America only, the pencils were done by Alan Weiss and was inked by Joe Rubinstein. Due to the poor condition of the OG I felt getting it scanned and colored was a neat idea. I wanted a kool background for it. I had that Alex Ross Cap cover he did in mind. So I asked James Pascoe if it was something he'd attempt. I gotta say he did a stellar job. He did the entire background plus coloring the entire piece. The OG was 11x14. I requested that the scan be done at 11x17. The extra 3 inches really helps fit in the background, even though the original piece wasn't really made for that. Eventually the OG will crumble and decay in my lifetime. There isn't much I can do about that. But this scan should hold up well. And I am soo pleased with the job James Pascoe did. Social/Sharing |

Very cool as the backgrounds look like scenes from old newsreels.

oh wow. i've seen you in the fb group but this may be the 1st piece i have seen from your gallery. i adore the idea of getting one of your OG pieces "shined up". but this is perfect. i almost don't want to believe the background is real. James Pascoe did a jaw dropping addition to the piece. congrats

Thank you for visiting my CAF page. Yeah the OG (I posted a photo of the OG as an additional image) is really mangled and in poor shape. I got it from an art dealer (They noted the poor condition). I felt this is the best way to keep it alive and vibrant. Pascoe is a master and he kept the soul of the piece and added to it in an amazing way.
