The Fatal Five by Phil Hester, Eric Gapstur & Simon Gough

The Fatal Five are without a doubt my favorite Legion villains. Every member has a great look, and all of them are powerful enough to give the Legion of Super-Heroes a tough fight. And when they're all together, they are almost unstoppable. Anywho, I commissioned Phil and Eric to team up on this commission, and they went above and beyond, in my humble opinion. The Five look super-intimidating here, and with the giant sun and cracked moon behind them, the piece has an almost apocalyptic feel. I sent this one over to the lovely and talented Simon Gough, and he worked his incredible coloring magic on it. I love how he colored the energy effects on their powers, the raging sun, and all of those stars. All three artists did stellar work here, and I am simply amazed with this commission!
