Sandman House Ad - original pencils by Sam Kieth

This is a bit of a historical oddity. DC wanted a house ad for Sandman 1 and so Sam Kieth pencilled this piece. Mike Dringenberg liked them and attempted to ink onto an overlay but eventually created the version which was used (and now resides in Charley Willamson's gallery - gratuitous plug)
Sam once commented that the ad art didn't look much like him and I think we can now see why.

There is a note at the top which reads: "Karen -This is the best I can do. If you don't like it. Sorry. - Sam"
Made me smile, anyway.
