The Eighth Immortal 2 Cover

The second cover from my series "The Eighth Immortal." This cover was originally an option presented by Tiffany for the first issue. Due to some time constraints, we weren't able to come up with ideas unique to the second issue, but felt that this image represented the issue well, which delves deeper into depth of Curipan's history. In this image, we see Curipan in full, presiding over a pool of children's souls. They reach up to her, drowning in a pool (or are they rising up from it?) as she is at once guarded against them, but supplicating to them. Her cloak flourishes, morphing into the leaves that populate the pool below. We ultimately decided to have Curipan be the focus of all the covers, with each successive cover portraying the evolution of her purpose. Whereas in the first cover she was crying, here she is more powerful, understanding the gravity of her powers.
