DescriptionAvengers #84 p20 John Buscema pencils Avengers vs ArkonThe final page of the story, Arkon realizes he has been duped by the Enchantress (who has a long history of using powerful men to her own ends). The Ebony blade is lost (leading to later events in Avengers #100 when the Enchantress partners with Ares). The inking by Tom Palmer is a great match for Big John. Arkon was Marvel's toe-in-the-water to the Sword and Sorcery genre. Social/Sharing |

9 Glorious panels but the 1st and 2nd panels are such beautiful examples of Buscema's work
