Description
2021 NYCC Purchase
I was a serious bidder (thought I was at least) when the page went up on a Comic Connect auction featuring the first appearance of Duke and Roadblock. I was into that page for a few thousand but had to bail at a certain point and was shocked that it went for north of $12k.

So what do you get as a consolation prize? In issue 263 from IDW which continues the Marvel run, the Joes are featured in a Memorial Day issue. While going through Artist Alley I saw that Brian Shearer, the inker, had the inked pages for sale in his binder so I picked them up. Pages 7 and 8 feature Duke and Roadblock having a flashback to their own first appearance and Gallant and Shearer recreate the scene which was published in this issue. The pages are ink over blue line. This is Page 7.

Let's see them Cobras jump out of a Jeep as cool as Roadblock.
