Description

Having twice commissioned Yale to draw scenes of Steve and Bucky, I felt it was time to do right by Cap's other best bud and finally have Yale bring Sam and Steve together.

Given my love for Yale's JL8 and the Captain America films, I thought playing this famous scene out on an elementary school track was a perfect fit for the occasion. And, as always, Yale did not disappoint with the final product.

So many smart choices here in the juxtaposition between the two. Sam is fully ready for the run in gym clothes and some impressive looking kicks, while Steve is wearing slacks and some basic tennis shoes. Yet Sam is giving it all he's got while Steve looks like he's out for a light jog as he passes him by.

The drawing is very confident cartooning as Stewart presents his talent for the Marvel side and staying true to the humor of their characterizations.
