Description

On the last blank page of my Golden Age sketchbook, I wanted a particularly "historic" character to close out the book, but one that hadn't already appeared in the book. I decided that the last page should feature the first masked crimefighter created for comic books, the Quality Comics hero The Clock. (Of course, there had been masked heroes in fiction before, like Zorro, but The Clock was the first one to debut in comics.) I had Bob Hall draw him at DragonCon 2022.
