Totally Mind-blowing page from the incredible Jack Kirby and Mike Royer! The cosmic monster in the first panel is wild enough, but then it's matched by the short-circuiting head of Machine Man himself! And that's followed by another view of Machine Man's agonized face before settling down to a more sedate scene in the lab. Whew! This whole page is a jaw-dropping masterpiece! Sincere congrats!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: No other inker 'got' Jack Kirby like Mike Royer. I truly believe that Kirby inked by Royer is really what Kirby's work was meant to look like.
