DescriptionThis page interested me for two reasons. It's a nice example of Tom Grummett's Superboy and it depicts characters related to the Kamandi storyline with mentions of Sacker and Prince Tuftan whom are straight from the Kamandi comics. Another beautifully inked page by Keith. From Superboy #75. I'm gonna have to read this storyline "My Greatest Adventure". Sounds good.Social/Sharing |

Nice way to jump onto the Grummett Superboy train, Lee! I never read this story either, specifically because Kamandi never appealed to me visually, so I never tried it. So while I loved that Karl Kesel and Tom Grummett use the Superboy title to live out their own love letter to Jack Kirby's Kamandi, I never bothered to read it. In recent years, as I've looked through the artwork, I've had moments where I say "It looks like it could be kind of fun.", but then I remind myself that since I've never read any Kamandi previously, I have a strong feeling that I wouldn't really "get it". But I love the Kesel/Grummett Superboy so much, I probably will get to it at some point!

Thanks for the welcome. I grew up with Kamandi just like those guys so it was a treat to find it. I don't know if you need to be totally familiar with Kamandi. It's essentially Planet of the Apes done with all kinds of creatures.
