Première version inédite de la page 1 de “Enfants, c’est l’Hydragon qui passe” réalisée vers 1981 (destinée au magazine Géant, resté à l’état de projet).Beauté absolue de l'encrage et de la mise en couleurs directe (sur une planche de très grand format) que le scan ne peut absolument pas reproduire. [ENGLISH] 65,5 x 48,5 cm [25.8 x 19 in]. Ink, felt pen, cut-out, corrective gouache and watercolor on paper. First unpublished version of "Enfants, c'est l'Hydragon qui passe »’s page 1 completed by Forest c. 1981. Absolute beauty of the inking and the direct coloring (huge art size) that the scan cannot reproduce. This is the opening page of the first version of Forest's "Enfants, c'est l'Hydragon qui passe," a graphic novel finally published by Casterman in 1984. Forest drew/painted only the first few pages of the GN’s early version, which was meant to appear in Géant, a magazine that was never released eventually. The early version’s art is far superior to the material that was finally published by Casterman (cf. the first two pages of the published GN below the main scan). Social/Sharing |

Great introduction page! It gives us a riverboat feel with the tight illustrative work and just as stunning lettering.
