You can image the flicker of light off the screen to make the shadows on the two go off and on.

Key scene in this amazing book! The blueline in the movie screen adds a lot to the feel of the page for me. Interesting that B&P decided to depict a romantic scene as the backdrop for the first meeting of these two characters
