Description

Ms. Tree and Mike Mist join up again in another venture. I like the pose of Ms. Tree in the penultimate panel of the page pointing at the beat-down in the final panel - a good storytelling device! Although Jack Black (the actor) had begun his career with a couple of small TV roles by the time of this 1986 page, it is highly doubtful that the character in panel 4 was in any way a reference to that person.

Ms. Tree was extraordinary in that it frequently dealt with controversial political and sexual issues, yet never used that as a venue to push a particular biased opinion.

Nobody rocks harder than Tenacious D! The panel of the alley beatdown is amazing and that expression is not often attempted.
