Preliminary art for the cover of ALL NEW CAPTAIN AMERICA #2 (Cover B) by Stuart Immonen

At the end of issue #1 of this new series, the mysterious character on the right of Sam is revealed. I believe this prelim cover was submitted before knowing who the character was. It was kept under wraps in order not to spoil the revelation.

This prelim does have the costumed look of the character and he's holding the Horde Crusher. Fantastic design with Hydra behind Sam Cap!

Gorgeous layout and beautiful prelim! Has a really finished feel to it, and the markers add a lot of depth and tone... Love the tendrils of Hydra snaking in (which the published version doesn't quite convey as effectively), and the Immonen "shorthand" on the baddies in back is superb. What a treat to get such a cool glimpse into this master craftsman's process! Great score, Diogo! Love this!
