DescriptionIt seems pretty obvious that this Ed Emshwiller prelim was intended for Super Science-Fiction as one of their "Special Monster Issues." We will never know if this would have been the cover of the next issue because the magazine folded before that could happen, or maybe this was just a rejected prelim that didn't meet the art editor's needs. Who knows! In any case, it is really cool and would have made a great painting!Social/Sharing |

Really fun as it has so much texture to the scaly surfaces even in this rough form. Having an intelligent mad scientist monster is a nice twist added to the genre.
