Description
I always wanted to own a John Totleben, now I have two. Not sure if it was ever published, but it should be. John Totleben, best known for his works on The Saga of the Swamp Thing, illustrates the avenging wrath of God Himself, The Spectre. Illustration is composed entirely in graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 8.75 x 11". Signed and dated by Totleben. In Excellent condition.

To me, he looks like a ghost that might have visited Scrooge, which fits with his mission of rendering judgment on the wicked. Nice take on the character.

It reminds me more of John Totleben himself. Look at the additional pic I posted...

Terrifying Spectre illustration by one of the masters of horror, John Totleben. I love Totleben's drawing here, emphasizing the dark side of the Spectre--He is, after all, the avenging wrath of God himself. Totleben certainly underscores that dark vision of the Spectre. Great pick-up!
