DescriptionSo many expletives and exclamations could easily be used here, but to be honest, my first reaction when I saw this was sincere gratitude. Talk about a destroyer level commission. I am completely blown away.First of all, go back and check out the cover to Space Knights that I posted last month. This will give you a good idea about the book and who artist Kevin Catalan is. After receiving the cover in hand, I decided it was a good idea to ask him about a commission. His style is influenced by James Harren and I even see touches of Ddubbs in it, so I knew that Ultramega would be a great choice. This is the end result and it is cover quality. It is jaw dropping in overall scale and feel. It properly captures the Kaiju essence of Ultramega, and I would be flat out lying if I said it didn't remind me of James Harren himself. I could argue that this deserves to go in the back of the next run of Ultramega issues. It is that good. Kevin went all out on this! When I see an artist put this much effort and care into a commission, I can only show sincere appreciation. Kevin Anthony Catlan is an artist that deserves to be recognized! Yup, definitely see that Harren influence, but still his own stuff! Some gritty line work, perfect considering the subject matter :) I gotta look into Catalan's work. Congrats, T!
