DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!10x14.25" thick artboard has mixed media original art by prolific and renowned Spanish comics cover artist Rafael López Espí. Cover is for Nova Vol. 1 #31, which reprints a Nova story from issue #15 and an Eternals story. Published in Spain c. 1978 Mundi. Artboard has been hand-painted from edge to edge w/art showing a original composition that was based on art from the US issue cover #15 by John Buscema. Great battle scene of a bare-armed Nova against the Avengers and Spider-Man. Lt. aging/handling wear. Art remains bright and clean. Displays VF. A wonderful example from the era when Espí's art dominated covers of Spanish comic books, featuring one of Marvel's popular characters and is unsigned by artist. Superb and dynamic cover art.
