Description

Nice, early example by Davis. I prefer these early pieces because I like the fatter and scruffier Garfield as well as the humor was sometimes a little less polished. I also like the fact that it was too early for Jim to have assistants yet so it is 100% his art. I remember well Garfield bookmarks (with pompoms) and stickers around this time or slightly later when the marketing hit big time. I have a very soft spot for this feline.
