DescriptionStunning gigantic (202cm x 81,5cm!!!) finished Drew Struzan painting, done in 1984 for the 50th birthday of the 20th Century Fox movie studio. This was published in 1984 as a fold-out cover for the Hollywood Reporter and in the Drew Struzan “Oeuvre” book.Sorry for the bad pictures, but it’s still framed behind glass (a sticker on the back states that it was in the “Drew - The Art of the Cinema” exhibition in the Norman Rockwell Museum, that ran from June 11th until October 31st 1999). So many memorable scenes from some of greatest movies of all times (I wish it was possible to upload more additional pictures to share more close-ups)…my favorite of these is undoubtedly Star Wars - A New Hope, but I’m curious to hear if any of you have different preferences… :-) Social/Sharing |

I was always a fan of The Longest Day and have a sweet spot for Miracle on 34th Street. Great piece.

So many icons represented here: Marilyn, Elvis, Elizabeth Tayler as Cleopatra, Betty Grable, Shirley Temple, John Wayne, Julie Andrews in Sound of Music, of course the Star Wars crew. Amazing! So much to drink in and rerflect on. Congrats!

There's no business like show business and Struzan is involved in making it the grand experience that it has been. The rich history, deep catalogue of movies, and the star power is like how we think of pop culture franchises today.
