Description

Azrael and his appearances in Knightfall was one of the great storylines of the 90s only surpassed by the Death of Superman. Barry Kitson was one of the architects of that storyline. Azrael's armor as it was adapted to the Batman suit was pretty awesome. Here it is with it's sharp lines, bright and nearly glowing, juxtaposed against a grey wash cityscape. 11x17.

Although the design was before his time drawing the regular series, Kitson naturally gets the sleekness of the AzBat costume!
