Description16”x20” (frame 21”x26”) Painted in 1982; purchased in 2010. Gib started his career in illustration as a political cartoonist for the Washington Evening Star. In 1944 he began doing the illustration paintings for the Army-Navy football program covers, and continued doing them until 1984. This is the second to last one that he did.Social/Sharing |

Very nice commemorative piece! The rivalry game was a bigger deal across the nation back and this level of artistry shows how important it was.
