Creepy #85 Infantino and Simonson Hide and go Mad

I was always a fan of the Warren magazine horror stories. The black and white presentation seemed right for the genre and allowed the creators to practice their brush work through the use of washes. This page is from 1977, around the time I was picking these magazines off the newstand rack, and features a collaboration between two of comics greats. I don't know for sure but this may be the only time that Walt Simonson inked over another artist. Here he masterfully embellishes Infantino's pencils, who's storytelling and layout are magic to behold. Not sure if I read this story but it doesn't take a genius to figure out how this one ends. The stories could be formulaic at times but the art is simply magic.
