Description

Original Cover Art - Rudolf Sieber-Lonati (1924 - 1990).

Lonati was a very creative illustrator of crime, wild west, horror, science fiction and fantasy pulp series and paperbacks. He was one of the most productive artists in the golden age of pulp magazines in the German market.

Oil on canvas. This artwork is unpublished from what I can tell and I was not able to find a reference. It looks like a fantasy paperback cover likely from his 1965-75s creative phase.

By it's complexity, this does a great job giving us a sense of anxiety and dread with just what is shown and what may lurk deeper in the darkeness.
