Description

Here's a marvelous pencil & watercolor illustration by Stefano Intini with Mickey Mouse dressed as a sailor, at the pier, with seagulls and a couple of funny-looking boats in the background.

Stefano probably draws the funniest Mickey Mouse of the comic books, he only has some competition from the animation where Paul Rudish gave new life to Disney's flagship character.

The sheer level of sympathy here is simply off the charts, and I love to see Intini illustrating the little mouse because he always brings out the most joyful and playful aspects (as well as the adventure, the optimism, the bravery, etc.), I'd say he's one of the very few artists able to fully capture the original essence of the character.

Takes you back to the days when Mickey would dress up for different holidays and celebrations! Nice cartooning to have that consistent quality we've come to expect.
