Descriptionhere is the variant cover to Superman #4 done by Mico Suayan. I purchased this at the last CAf comic art live event. I have always been a big fan of Mico's unique. this cover shows Bizzaro( the imperfect copy of Superman) in an almost Frankenstein type birth page as he comes to life cover. Mico's style is unmistakable with his use of pen and ink or ink wash that gives an almost gritty feel to it like an old monster movie poster. the detail is amazing just look at the stitching around the backward superman S on his chest to the head piece around his head you can almost feel the weight of it yourself. that's what Mico does so well with his work. the layers he applies to this give it an almost 3D effect. the shadowing next to him on the table or just the tight fit of the suit as he strains to break free from the straps.

thanks Rube, I love Mico's style. this cover has depth to it, you almost feel like you are standing next to the table looking down at him.

Admittedly, I was contemplating this cover during CAF-CON 2023, really cool cover. Love Mico's smooth textures, but loved the lighting effect on this one. Congrats!

The grey tone rendering is next level here. I guess I shouldn't be surprised - it's Mico :) But I am continually impressed! Congrats!
